MORE TRAINS NEED TO HALT AT KAZHAKUTTOM FOR TECHNOPARK
Today (Nov 18, 2013) morning at 0555 Hrs myself & Shri V. Gopi [Secretary, Pragathy Gardens Residents' Association (PGRA)] counted the # of passengers alighted at Kazhakuttom Station (code KZK) from the
12697/Chennai Central-Trivandrum Central Weekly Express . (Super Fast). The number was more than hundred (>100)!!
This effort was preceded by the sighting of a Blog post at
Archives @ Kerala IT News of Sept 16, 2010 by Mr Anil Philip of Kerala IT News. It stated: Talking to Kerala IT News, Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark said, "
We
had as many as 25 passengers (Technopark employees) alighting at
Kazhakuttom today when 2697 made its maiden stop here." ... ... "
Railways have also assured stoppage for the UP pair train too (leaving
TVC on Friday evening) based on patronage for down train."
There is a 400% increase in the patronage for the Train # 12697.
It is felt that time is overdue for the Technopark authorities or the beneficiary Techies to take/follow up this promise given by the Railway authorities three years ago to the then CEO of Technopark, Kazhakuttom, Trivandrum Mr. Mervin Alexander.
See the crowd to board Vanchinad Express, (the only Express Train towards north with halt at Kazhakuttom) to Ernakulam. Please share this like-minded persons.
